Zaytun 4 in Islamabad was launched in collaboration with Pehli Kiran Schools, an NGO dedicated to educating underprivileged children. This launch marks the fourth facility in our mission to provide fresh, nutritious and hygienic meals to students while supporting education in marginalized communities across Pakistan. Each day, students receive fresh meals for themselves and their families, thus alleviating their daily struggles to access nutritious food.
Zeeshan Aftab, Co-founder and Managing Director of 10Pearls, emphasizes the broader impact of Zaytun 4, “The meals served here aren’t just about mitigating hunger; they nourish the dreams of our future generations. We ensure each meal is balanced, meets students’ dietary needs, and is prepared with utmost care. Addressing the basic need of sustenance and education can go a long way in impacting a child’s life.”
According to a student at Zaytun 4, “I am able to concentrate better on my studies, now that I get to eat healthy lunch from Zaytun. This place has shown us opportunities that we didn’t know even existed. We can now change our lives and prove ourselves to the world.”
A teacher at the facility adds, “The children that come here are from very deserving communities. It is heartening to see them have both good food and education; their parents are also very satisfied.”
Since its inception in 2020 as a food shelter during the Covid-19 pandemic, Zaytun has evolved into a holistic welfare center. Providing food, education, medical services, and vocational training to children and women, it has impacted over one million lives. This initiative strongly reflects our double bottom line approach – driving tech innovation while making a tangible impact on the society for a better future.
