Empower Foundation Inaugurates Computer Lab at Zaytun 3
As part of our unwavering mission to improve educational opportunities for underprivileged students, Empower Foundation recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art computer lab at Roshni Model High School (Zaytun 3) in Lahore. This initiative reflects Empower Foundation’s commitment to bridge the digital divide and empower girls in higher-secondary school with valuable digital skills.
The newly inaugurated computer lab marks a significant milestone for Roshni Model High School. Due to financial constraints, the school previously offered theory-based courses only, with no provision of physical computer systems. Empower Foundation is proud to fund renovations for the new lab and provide state-of-the-art desktops and workstations – helping students gain hands-on proficiency in essential digital skills.
First Lessons with Empower Foundation Team
To celebrate the inauguration of the new lab, Empower Foundation team visited the school to provide students with their first practical computer lesson. Our volunteers taught fundamentals such as MS Excel formulae and formatting, and also guided the students about other computer tools that can enhance their skillset.

Building Digital Futures: Web Development Program
The new lab also gave us a chance to introduce our Youth Enabler Program for children at Roshni School. Under this program, we launched a course on the Basics of Web Development, covering topics such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and WordPress. Lectures were delivered online by 10Pearls’ developers, who also made regular school visits to guide students in-person. We are proud to see 12 young girls complete the course successfully and look forward to re-launching it for more students.
Empower Foundation remains dedicated to advancing education for underprivileged children. We actively sponsor education programs and provide essential school supplies for local schools. Our regular initiatives ensure that children in our community have access to equitable and quality education.
