Uniting for a Cure: Empower Foundation’s Fight Against Neurofibromatosis

Empower Foundation proudly sponsored and volunteered at the Shine a Light Neurofibromatosis (NF) Walk organized by the Children’s Tumor Foundation in Palatine, Illinois.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) are a group of genetic disorders that cause tumors to develop on nerve tissue throughout the body. The condition affects 1 in 3,000 people and currently has no known cure. The Shine a Light NF Walk is dedicated to raising essential funds for NF research, supporting programs for children with NF, and creating public awareness.

NF-party

This year, our teammate Erin Mohideen co-chaired the NF Walk Committee, and Empower Foundation set up a sponsorship table to support the cause. Through our collective efforts, we successfully raised an impressive $25,000 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Empower Foundation also provided goodies for the little ones including frisbees, ice packs, and snacks. Our team member, Meg Newhouse, spoke on behalf of 10Pearls, explaining our mission and commitment to help the Committee.

NY-Hero

The combined dedication of participants, including Empower Foundation, resulted in raising over $100,000 for crucial NF research. This remarkable achievement highlights the power of unity, and we are honored to contribute to such a noble initiative. Let us continue to shine a light on NF and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected.
