Coronavirus has affected more than 307,000 people in Pakistan, with many patients reaching a critical stage. Empower Foundation recently joined hands with The Indus Hospital (TIH) to fight the battle against Coronavirus, and help save valuable lives.
In Pakistan, there are over one million deaf children, out of which only 5% have access to education. Deaf Reach School, a project of Family Educational Services Foundation, is committed to deliver quality education to deaf children. It currently provides academic and vocational training to over 1,250 deaf children and adolescents, and has schools in various cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Lahore and Jhelum.
We met with children of the Make-A-Wish Foundation on New Year’s Eve with the aim of fulfilling some of their small wishes.

In its mission to give back to the society, Empower Foundation recently launched Zaytun. Zaytun is a custom-built facility providing daily fresh meals to the needy in the outskirts of Karachi. The purpose of this initiative is to help ease financial worries of the poor and provide wholesome meals to meet their dietary needs.
